About Cary

I’m a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and Personal Trainer based in the Pacific Northwest. I help active adults build strength they can use — strength that supports everyday life, outdoor activities, and long-term movement capacity. My approach is straightforward and realistic. No extreme programs. No “all or nothing.” Just training that fits your life and evolves with you.

My Approach to fitness and training

I focus on education-based coaching that meets you where you are. That means:

  • Learning proper form and movement patterns

  • Understanding how gym equipment works

  • Building strength and confidence at a pace that feels sustainable

  • Creating workouts that support your real life

I believe that when you understand what you’re doing and why you’re doing it, fitness becomes less overwhelming—and much more enjoyable.

This approach is especially helpful for beginners, people returning to exercise after time off, or anyone who has felt unsure or uncomfortable in a gym setting.

Why Aspire For Adventure

Fitness doesn’t have to be extreme to be effective. It doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing, and it definitely shouldn’t feel discouraging.

Aspire for Adventure is about building strength, confidence, and curiosity—about movement, about your body, and about what you’re capable of. Whether your “adventure” is walking into the gym with confidence or trying something completely new, I’m here to support you along the way.

Background and Experience

  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

  • Certified Personal Trainer

  • Over 20 years of coaching experience

  • Clinical experience working with orthopedic and post-rehab populations

  • Strength training and hiking-focused programming

  • Guidance on gym layout, equipment setup, and how to navigate the space confidently

Working clinically has shaped how I coach strength — I pay attention to joint mechanics, load tolerance, and progression. The goal is not just doing exercises, but building durable strength that holds up over time.

Outside Of Work

I live in the Pacific Northwest and spend as much time outside as possible — hiking, trail running, exploring new places, and staying active with my family. Movement has always been part of my life, and I value training that supports real experiences, not just gym numbers.
