Disney Cruises are known for their enchanting and magical experiences. I had the opportunity to go on my first Disney cruise over Christmas, and it was a dream come true. We went on the Disney Wonder ship, which is one of the smaller ships for the Disney line, but it turned out to be one of the best experiences I have ever had. Our trip started in San Diego, where we boarded the ship and set off on our adventure.

We went to two port cities on the cruise: Ensenada and Cabo. In Ensenada, we went ziplining and horseback riding, and in Cabo, we enjoyed the beach and got massages. Even when we were in port, there was always so much to do on the ship, including drawing classes and other activities offered throughout the day. Make sure you download the Disney Cruise Line app. That is your way of communicating and seeing the daily schedule while on the ship!

The Disney Wonder had ten floors, most of which were taken up by rooms. We were lucky to have a balcony room, which was nice for getting some fresh air and watching the sunset. The inside rooms were also really nice, and the top floors had the pools, basketball court, food courts, water slide, and performance areas. The food was amazing, and they had a wide variety of options, including healthy choices. My kids must have consumed at least seven ice cream cones per day!

They also had a nice spa and fitness center, which I took advantage of. I loved getting up early in the morning and going up to the ninth floor to get my coffee and watch the sunrise.

One of the best things about the cruise was the staff, who were so genuine and caring. We had the same staff members clean our room every day, and we also had the same servers for dinner each night, so we really got to know them. I was even more impressed when I watched the Disney special on National Geographic and saw our room attendant, Raymond, who was famous for his towel folding skills, on the show.

If you’re a fan of musicals, magic, and entertainment, the shows on a Disney Cruise are not to be missed. The talented cast of singers, dancers, and performers will leave you mesmerized and clapping for more.

From the Broadway-style extravaganzas in the Walt Disney Theatre to the magical moments in the Buena Vista Theatre, the shows on a Disney Cruise are an essential part of the overall experience. With state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and special effects, each show is a visual and audio feast for the senses.

One of the highlights of the Disney Cruise entertainment experience is the nightly musical revue, “Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic.” This show is a stunning tribute to classic Disney movies and features beloved characters, classic songs, and a stunning light and special effects display.

As a family of five with three kids, the cruise was perfect for us. Some of the kids’ amenities offered on the Disney Wonder included:

1. Disney’s Oceaneer Club

This interactive play area is designed for kids aged 3 to 12 and offers a variety of activities, including games, crafts, and character meet-and-greets.

2. Disney’s Oceaneer Lab

A science-themed play area for kids aged 3 to 12, this area includes hands-on activities and interactive displays that encourage learning through play.

3. Youth Clubs

Disney Cruise Line offers a variety of youth clubs for kids of all ages, including the Edge for tweens and the Vibe for teens. These clubs offer age-appropriate activities, such as dance parties, karaoke, and video games.

4. Family-Friendly Movies

From classic Disney movies to new releases, there are plenty of family-friendly movie screenings to enjoy on a Disney Cruise.

5. Swimming Pools

There are several swimming pools on a Disney Cruise ship, including ones with slides and fountains. These pools provide a great way for kids to cool off and have fun.

6. Character Meet-and-Greets

Kids of all ages will love the opportunity to meet and take photos with their favorite Disney characters. From Mickey Mouse to Frozen’s Elsa and Anna, there are plenty of characters to meet on a Disney Cruise.

In conclusion, my experience on the Disney cruise was nothing short of magical. From the endless amenities for kids to the breathtaking shows, every moment was filled with laughter and wonder. The staff were warm and welcoming, making sure every guest felt like royalty. I will cherish these memories forever and cannot wait to plan my next adventure with Disney Cruise Line. Whether you’re a fan of Disney or simply looking for a memorable vacation, a Disney cruise is the perfect choice. I highly recommend this experience to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable getaway.
